The Lord of the Rings films were shot simultaneously and entirely in Jackson's hometown of New Zealand from 11 October 1999 to 22 December 2000 and included pick-up shots taken from 2001 to 2004. The Lord of the Rings has a budget of 281 million. The film grossed $ 2.981 billion at the box office. The film is widely regarded as one of the largest and most influential film series ever made. The Lord of the Rings received numerous awards and his series won 17 of its 30 Academy Award nominations.

1. Dain Ironfoot
A character named Dain Ironfoot was the leader of a dwarf living in Iron Hills. During the Battle of Azanulbizar, Dain Ironfoot killed the Aziler Defiler and the leader of the orcs at the entrance to Moria. Dain was able to avenge both Ironfoot's father Nain and his grandfather-uncle Thror, both of whom had fallen victim to Azog’s from previous fights. In the Hobbit movie trilogy though he has survived this battle and has become the main opponent of the conspiracy.
In the original story of the film, Thorin’s father, King Thrain, seeks to advance and reclaim Moriah. But Dain Ironfoot prevents this from happening. Dain Ironfoot was aware of the fact that at the entrance he tried to mine and attempted suicide despite winning the battle.
Dain Ironfoot inherits the King's crown at the foot of the mountain when Thorin, Fili, and Kili are all killed after a battle of five armies. Dain Ironfoot proved himself an intelligent ruler and brought wealth and prosperity to his people and the people living nearby. Dain Ironfoot in Gloin in the typical new fashion is described as respectable and fabulous rich.
Between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in the film, Sauron and Dain Ironfoot sent several angels and promised them three of the seven dwarfish rings of power and Moria in exchange for Bilbo’s whereabouts. Dain Ironfoot denied it every time, and during the Battle of the Ring when the land of Dain Ironfoot was also besieged by the orcish army at the Battle of Dale. And then Dain Ironfoot's ally and longtime friend Brand and Dale's King and Bard the Bowman’s grandson fell in battle while defending his body. After his death his son Thorin III Stonehelm under whom the dwarves colonized both the caves behind the lamps of Moria and Helm’s and then Dain Ironfoot took his place.

2. Faramir
The character was Denethor II's second son of Gondor's Steward and Boromir's younger brother. Faramir was the captain of the Rangers of Ithilien, and after the death of Faramir's brother, Faramir became the captain of the White Tower and the successor to Gondar. He was only five years old when Faramir's mother died and Faramir's brother was 10 years old.
Faramir's father Denethor was most affected by his death and was increasingly separated from his children. But despite their clear support for Boromir, the two brothers were very close and there was no jealousy or enmity between them. While Boromir embodied all the characteristics of a strong and fearless warrior, the character Faramir had a more humble disposition and a higher affection for learning and music. It was because of Faramir's nature that his friendship with Gandalf began, but his father did not recognize the relationship.
But even then he was seen as inferior to his brother on the battlefield. Yet Faramir proved time again in war and as a military strategist. When after the House of Healing he was healed by the miracle plant athelas by Aragorn. When he woke up, Faramir immediately identified Aragorn as the true king of Gondor.
Then while recovering there Faramir met Eowyn and they fell in love with each other. During Aragon’s official coronation he handed over his position as Steward to the King. But Aragon insisted that he and his descendants retain the position. Faramir was also named Prince of Ethilien and Lord of Emyn Arnen. Faramir died at the age of 120 and was succeeded by his son Elboron.

3. Galadriel
As one of the few elves born in Middle Earth in the Undying Lands, this character was considered by Tolkien to be the most intelligent in the world. Not only does Feanor come close to a fellow Noldorin vampire but for many years Galadriel had no real equal. The same can be said about Galadriel's beauty and especially Galadriel's hair which was described as "golden, touched with silver".
Feanor also requested Galadriel for a strand three times but this character refused each time. However Galadriel gave Gimli three strands of her hair. The character's name translates to Galadriel as "maiden crowned with a garland of light" and was given to her by her husband Celeborn. Galadriel's early names were Narwen and Artanis, given by his parents to Prince Finarfin of Noldor and Princess Earwen of Teleri. And instead she chose to call this character.
During the second era, she and Celeborn founded the Kingdom Eregion at the western entrance to Moria. During this time both kingdoms lived in peace and harmony and trade flourished. Later they went over the Misty Mountains and settled in the forest of Lothlorien. And both elves never took any royal titles and were only known as the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien.
Although Galadriel's relationship with the dwarf waned over time, she was always eager to have a good relationship with the "bearded folk." Galadriel always saw in them the great potential of fighting the orcs. Galadriel greeted Gimli with open arms when the Fellowship entered his forest during events in books and movies. So to speak, speak much of Moria's once mighty dwarf kingdom and speak to him in the reckless language of Khuzdul.
She also possessed one of the three rings from the lightning ring that gave the Nenya water ring to the elves. This ring is not usually visible to the average viewer and was only able to see Frodo Galadriel because he was also a ring-bearer. Nenya had the power of defense and concealment and she used it to hide and protect her kingdom from the evil powers of Shyam Swami.
After Gandalf’s fight with Balrog in the depths of Moria, she manages to bring the wizard back and take care of her at Caras Galadhon, the center of power in Lothlorien. Galadriel also gave him a white robe according to his new position in the Order of the Wizards. After the destruction of the Forest Ring, she and her wooden elves rushed to the fortress of Dol Guldur, south of Mirkwood, where they would destroy the remaining pockets of Orsi resistance and push the fortress to the ground, thus officially ending the Battle of the Ring.

4. Gollum
As you can see in this movie, this character was not always the misshapen animal we know. Long before the events surrounding the conspiracy of books he was at one time a member of a hobby beetle tribe called the Riverfolk and who lived on the banks of the Anduin River. The lack of fear of the water made Gollum a little different from all the other hobbits and Riverfolk were master swimmers and made small boats and fishing rods for a living.
Gollum was related to the Stoorish hobbits of the shire. We also know that his name was Smeagol and that translates to "burrowing" or "worming in". Gollum's name was probably chosen because Gollum was fond of such activities. Yet Gollum's family branch was rich and influential. Riverfolk lived in a maternal society and her great-grandmother was a native of the entire tribe.
The character was captured by Mordor's forces between events in The Hobbit and Lord the F-Rings, and was tortured by someone other than Sauron for information. And before Gollum was released, he told the Dark Lord that the ring belonged to someone named "Baggins" who lived in a land called "Shire". What most people don't know is the fact that this character knows where the shire is but Gollum never disclosed that information.
It is important to note some subtleties about this character and the actual drama surrounding this character. When Gollum is caught by Frodo and Sam on his way to Mordor, he starts calling Frodo a "master" and voluntarily follows him for a while. Interestingly, Gollum never called Sauron or Shelob master and only referred to them as "good friends".
When Dead is in Marshes he repents with remorse. Gollum's voice softens and he has a fight with his changing ego. In fact Ring and Gollum really want to join Frodo in his quest. But unfortunately Sam doesn't notice the change and he insults and abuses Gollum and his chance to get rid of it goes away forever.

5. Saruman
In this movie it is not certain what happened to the two blue wizards we mentioned earlier? To find out he was the only member of both Saruman and Maiar and whom we know for sure should go against his initial mission to help men and zealots in the fight against evil forces. But eventually Saruman turned to the side and allied himself with Sauron and one day betrayed Saruman and in the hope of taking all the power for himself he was the leader of both the Wizard Order and the White Council and a league of wizards and elves who opposed Saruman.
The leader of the Wizard Order gave Saruman various magical powers and abilities. Saruman was also extremely knowledgeable in ringlore and machinery. But Saruman's speech was Saruman's best power and he will keep one power even after being defeated by Gandalf. With Saruman he can complement and fool anyone. In fact after defeating Saruman by the ants and keeping him locked up in the tower of Isengard he finally convinced them that they would kill him. Saruman died in these movies.
Under no circumstances did Saruman start evil when he first set foot on Middle Earth during the Second Era. Yet Saruman increasingly secretly became more obsessed with Gandalf for its inferior quality and single ring and its powers. But when all of Saruman's dreams of gaining control of Middle Earth were shattered and he managed to escape from Isengard, Saruman fled to Shire.
Saruman will take control of it and act as a criminal kingpin until Frodo and other hobbits return in Sharkey's name. After his defeat at the Battle of Bywater, Frodo confronts Saruman and expels him from the land of Hobbit. But before Saruman could leave he was cut his throat by Gríma Wormtongue at the very door of the bag end.

6. Smaug
This character is also known as "The Golden" or Major Disaster and Great Disasters. Smaug is the most powerful dragon of the third age and is probably the only one to have survived on Middle Earth. These characters first appeared during the first era when Lucifer's own version of Middle Earth Morgoth created them as a means of fighting the Noldor Elves.
But Morgoth himself could not have created humans from the beginning but Smaug corrupts people who already exist so it is not clear how Smaug created it. And there were various variations of dragons depending on their means of moving around or Smaug's ability to breathe in fire. The first dragons were wingless creatures and walked on all fours like the Komodo dragon in the real world.
The reappearance of the dragon only appeared in the world during the War of Wrath. Dragons were Melkor’s ultimate weapons and also had the ability to fly and some of them breathed fire. This war was without a shadow of a doubt, considered the most devastating conflict in the history of Middle Earth. This changed the face of the continent and Smaug forever, and resulted in Melkor's exile from Earth and the almost complete destruction of the dragon. And while some of them may have fled to other countries, Smaug returned to the mountains to the north.
When this character finally returns, Smaug takes possession of Erebor and the vast wealth inside. Smaug exiled the dwarves who lived there and destroyed the lands around Lonely Mountain for years before they went into hibernation. Awareness of Smaug's only weakness was his soft underlying. Smaug incorporated precious stones and diamonds into his skin as he lay on the giant treasure trove.
Then only one small patch remained open which Bard the Bowman would take advantage of later. It is important to note that Smaug may have survived the lone dragon of Wrath War, although Smaug was by no means the largest. In fact the Smaug was fairly small compared to the Ancalagon and is the largest and largest dragon ever.

7. The Two Blue Wizards
During the Second Age of Middle Earth and because of Sauron’s growing power the gods sent Maiar to challenge his threat to the world. Once upon a time on Middle Earth this Maiar made an appearance of old men known as the Istari to the elves and The Two Blue Wizards by humans.
However, The Two Blue Wizards were limited in their capabilities by Valar who instructed The Two Blue Wizards not to appear in any majestic form and to publicly display the powers of The Two Blue Wizards to rule over the hearts and minds of men and elves. The Two Blue Wizards were instructed to guide and offer the council and unite the free people of Middle Earth against the Dark Threat.
Although Maiar was immortal he did not have an earthly body and also had hunger, thirst, fear, fatigue, and death. The exact number of The Two Blue Wizards sent to Middle Earth is unknown but at least five. The head of the Order of Wizards was Saruman and his second command was Command Gandalf.
Then there was Radagast the Brown and those who were known for the excessive consumption of mushrooms. If you catch this movie, who else is The Two Blue Wizards, people knew almost nothing. The two Blue Wizards have a little bit together about their names Alatar and Pallando. But The Two Blue Wizards may also be known as Morinehtar and Rómestámo in Middle Earth.
It is believed that The Two Blue Wizards came to Earth in comparison to other Maiars and then The Two Blue Wizards moved eastward at the beginning of the second era. With so little known about The Two Blue Wizards, it's easy to speculate about their final fate. Some believe that The Two Blue Wizards did not reach the news west, and that the two Blue Wizards helped weaken Sauron’s fortifications coming from that part of the world,and both during the Battle of the Ring as well as at the end of the second era when one ring was lost.
8. Tom Bombadil
Of all Tolkien's characters, Tom Bombadil is certainly the most mysterious and possibly the most powerful. Tom Bombadil is also the oldest person in Middle Earth and, according to him, was there before Melkor came "from the Outside". Tom Bombadil has the appearance of a shorter-than-normal man with a long brown beard and blue eyes. Tom Bombadil is described as having fun and singing almost always. When Hobbits first came up with Tom Bombadil, he rescued Old Man willow from the ancient willow tree of Old Forest.
Tom Bombadil later rescues him in the film's story. This time from Borough White and Tom Bombadil gave a magical cut that they will use for the rest of the story. Frodo eventually replaces Bilbo’s famous Sword for Sting. It wasn't exactly explained in the film but Merry was able to injure the Witch King because he used these cutters against him.
Tom Bombadil is married to a beautiful blonde woman named Goldberry and for whom Tom Bombadil collects water lilies. The beauty of Goldberry stunned the hobbits and those who saw it in its different features but its true identity with "less keen and lofty" and "deeper and nearer to the mortal heart" is still unknown. It could be the spirit of the river because Goldberry's nickname is in fact the "daughter of the river." In any case Tom Bombadil at Goldberry's house asks Frodo if he can see the ring.
When Frodo handed Tom Bombadil he would look at Goldberry for a moment and then he slipped it on his finger but nothing happened. Goldberry even made it disappear for a second before giving it back. Frodo also wore it in the presence of Tom Bombadil but he could still see it. During Rivendell's Council of Elrond when the free people of Middle Earth were deciding what to do with the ring, some people offered to give it to Tom Bombadil for safe protection. However his wife refused saying that he would not voluntarily take the ring and even if he did somehow he would soon forget it and throw it away.
Now there are some theories about who the character named Tom Bombadil really is. Some say that Tom Bombadil is the almighty god, Iluvatar himself. Others consider Tom Bombadil to be a flesh of nature. Others consider Tom Bombadil to be the incarnation of Tolkien in the story.

9. Glorfindel
A character named Glorfindel is known as one of the most important characters in the books. But surprisingly, Glorfindel did not make it in those movies. Some of Glorfindel's actions were either completely removed from the plot or taken over by other characters. Glorfindel is also an important figure in the entire universe of Middle Earth. Glorfindel was born in the Undying Lands and was the leader of the House of the Golden Flower in Gondolin during the first era until its destruction.
During the battle of Gondolin, the character manages a mighty Balrog to give his people time to evacuate, and then, like Gendolph, Glorfindel manages to pull the animal out of the rock. But Glorfindel also pulled down with him. Yet Glorfindel was revived in the Undying Lands and for his spirit of sacrifice and bravery in battle Glorfindel was rewarded with a power that was almost like that of Gandalf to Maiar.
After the forging of the ring and the creation of the Black Fortress in Mordar, the character was sent back to Middle Earth because Glorfindel is inevitably at war with the Dark Armies. Although Elrond was God at the time, Glorfindel was assigned to Rivendell’s forces. Glorfindel defeated the kingdom of Angmar at the Battle of Fornost, but Glorfindel predicted that "Witch King will fall but in the far future, but not by the hand of man."
It was this character during the book events that helped Aragorn reach Rivendell and help the hobbits escape from Nazgul, not Arwen. Glorfindel was also considered to participate in the fellowship but Glorfindel favored Merry and Pippin instead, and thought that Glorfindel's terrifying power would only draw attention to the company's secret mission.

10. Peregrin Took
This character is commonly referred to as Pippin. Peregrin Took was one of four hobbits who joined the Ring Fellowship. Like Peregrin Took's first cousin and best friend Meriadoc Brandybuck, his family was also the richest in the Shire. The Peregrin Took family lived in a place called Great Smitho in Tookland and usually had the title Thain on its head.
The character is a Hobbit military leader and a title that has passed since the fall of Fornost and the Dúnedain Kingdom. After the battle of The Lord of the Ring and the death of his father, the character played the role of Thain of the Shire and was also made a counselor in the Northern Kingdom by King Aragorn of Gondor. Peregrin Took's only son and heir, Faramir Took, also inherited the title after his father moved to Gondor. Here both this character and Mary are eventually buried with Aragorn. Faramir Took eventually married Goldilocks Gardner, one of Sam's daughters.
There was a rumor among hobbits that an ancestor of Peregrin Took had married a vampire long ago. This can explain the adventurous nature in the film. Peregrin Took was the youngest in the group when the fellowship began in Rivendell. Peregrin Took was only 28 at the time and hobbits consider adulthood at 33.
They began to grow after Peregrin Took and his cousin Merry drank ant-draft in the Farngorn forest. The ancestor of the Peregrin Took and one of the Shire's heroes also surpassed the famous Bandobras "Bullroarer" Took. Among the people of Minas Tirith, Gondor’s capital, Peregrin Took was known as Ernil i Pheriannath or Prince of the Halflings. Peregrin Took was familiar to Gandalf and was considered a royalty by the people as he had a slightly informal attitude towards the city steward and ruler Denethor.
During his stay in that city, Peregrin Took developed a strong bond with Faramir's personal bodyguard, Captain Beregond. During the Battle of Black Gate, when the rest of the army attacked Mordar in an attempt to give Black Gate the time needed to ring the fire at Mount Doom, Peregrin Took managed to save Beregond's life by killing the captain of the giant troll known as Peregrin Took may also be credited with starting the shire crowd and hobbits are blamed by Saruman’s executors when Peregrin Took returns home.
