Today we are going to talk about How to Enable Dark Mode for YouTube. This dark mode of YouTube provides an easy viewing experience from the user's point of view. Dark mode is great when watching videos in the dark on YouTube. The YouTube theme is available on the YouTube website and in YouTube's mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. So let's gather a little more information about How to set up Dark Mode for YouTube.
1. Enable Dark Mode On the Web
First you need to click your profile icon on the top right corner of its page on YouTube's Desktop website.
Then click the "Dark Theme" option in its menu.
And if the user is not signed in, you can click the menu button instead and here the user will get the same "dark theme" option.
Then activate the "Dark Theme" slider to enable the Dark Theme for YouTube.
This setting only applies to the user's current web browser and therefore requires a dark theme to be enabled on every computer the user uses and does not sync with the user's Google Account.
Then to undo this change the user clicks the profile button again and closes the slider by selecting “Dark Theme”.
2. iPhone and iPad
The YouTube app for the iPhone or iPad also has its own Dark Mode option. To enable Dark Mode on YouTube, the user first has to launch the application and tap their profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
All that remains is to tap "Settings" in the menu that appears.
The user then has to activate the "Dark Theme" slider on the settings screen.
And for the user to reuse YouTube's normal lite theme, they have to go back here and disable the "Dark Theme" slider.
For the user, Google is slowly rolling out the dark mode for YouTube's Android app but it is not yet available on all devices.
If the user has the Dark Mode option, the user has to find their application profile icon by tapping the top right corner of the YouTube app and then tapping "Settings".
All the user has to do is click "General" on the settings screen.
Then if the user sees the dark mode option on the normal screen, it remains to enable it. If the user does not, you will have to wait for Google to enable this feature on the user's device with an update on YouTube.
