Robert Wadlow was born on February 22, 1918. Robert Wadlow was born in Alton, Illinois; U.S. Robert Wadlow born as normal children. That time his height was 1ft 8 in and weight was 3.8 kg. Wadlow passed John Rogan as the tallest person ever before his death one year ago. On June 27, 1940 Robert Wadlow height was 8 ft 11.1 in. The Alton Giant also boasted the largest hands ever, at that time his height was 12.7 in. At that time a faulty brace irritated his ankle, leading to infection on July 4, 1940.

It’s Robert's legs that caused his premature death. Robert Wadlow was treated with a blood transfusion and surgery. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Upper Alton, Madison County, Illinois. When his coffin measured 10ft 9 in long by 2ft 8 in wide by 2ft 6 in deep, weighed over 450 kg. Robert was carried by twelve pallbearers and eight assistants. Robert Wadlow was death at the age of 22.

In a hotel in Manistee, Michigan, as a result of a septic blister on his right ankle caused by a brace On 15 July 1940. This had been poorly fitted only a week earlier. Robert’s height was 2.72 m. His wingspan was 2.88 m. In 15 July 1940 he died.
