1. Bal Gangadhar Tilak

Bal Gangadhar Tilak was born on 23 July 1856 in Chikhali, Maharashtra. He is also called Lokmanya Tilak. Bal Gangadhar Tilak was known as an Indian nationalist, teacher and freedom activist. Mr.Tilak was known as the first leader of the Indian independence movement. British colonial authorities call Bal Gangadhar Tilak "The father of the Indian unrest".

Gandhiji called Bal Gangadhar Tilak "The Maker of Modern India". Bal Gangadhar was the first and strongest advocate of Swaraj and a strong radical in the Indian consciousness. Bal Gangadhar Tilak is known for its price in Marathi. Bal Gangadhar Tilak died on 1 August 1920 in Bombay.

2. Chandrashekhar Azad

Chandrashekhar Azad was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhabhra village. Chandrashekhar Azad is known as the self-named Azad. Chandrashekhar Azad was a revolutionary who reorganized the Hindustan Republican Association under and after the deaths of Ram Prasad Bismil, and three other leading party leaders and Rajendra Nath Lahiri, Roshan Singh and Ashfaqullah Khan.

3. Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Dr. Rajendra Prasad was born on 3 December 1884 in Ziradei. Dr. Rajendra Prasad is known as an Indian independence activist, scholar, lawyer and later the first President of India. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the architect of the Indian Constitution. He served as President of the Constituent Assembly, drafting the Constitution of the Republic from 1948 to 1950. Mahatma Gandhi's supporter Dr. Rajendra was imprisoned by the Quit India Movement of 1942 and British authorities during the Salt Satyagraha of 1931. Then the 1946 elections Dr.Rajendra served as the Minister of Food and Agriculture in the Central Government. Rajendra Prasad died on 28 February 1963 in Patna.

4. Jawaharlal Nehru

Pandit Nehru was born on 14 November 1889 in the village of Prayagraj. He was known as Pandit Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru was an important leader of the Indian independence movement and the Indian National Congress. He became the first Prime Minister of India after the independence of our country.

Jawaharlal Nehru was also known as Pandit Nehru because of his roots with the Kashmiri Pandit community. And Jawaharlal Nehru was better known by Indian children than Uncle Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru became an emerging figure in Indian politics during the turmoil of the 1910s. Jawaharlal Nehru was a British educated barrister. Pandit Nehru died on 27 May 1964 in New Delhi.

5. Subhash Chandra Bose

Mr. Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in the village of Cuttack. Subhash Chandra Bose is also called Netaji. He was an Indian nationalist. Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the foremost leaders of the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. He was a small, fundamentalist and wing leader of the Indian National Congress in the late 1920s and 1930s.

Subhash Chandra Bose became the Congress President in 1938 and 1939. But then Subhash Chandra Bose was ousted from the Congress leadership after differences with Mahatma Gandhi and the Congress High Command. Dr. Subhash Chandra died on 18 August 1945 in Taipei, Taiwan.

6. Gopal Krishna Gokhale

Gopal Krishna Gokhale was born on 9 May 1866 in the village of Kotluk. Gopal Krishna Gokhale became one of the most learned men of India, a social and political reformist leader and one of the founding leaders of the Indian independence movement. He was known as a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and a servant of Indian society.

Gopal Krishna Gokhale was a great, early Indian champion for public education. Gopal Krishna Gokhale was served by the Society as well as Congress and other MLAs. He campaigned for Indian self-government and social reform. Gopal Krishna Gokhale was the leader of the middle group of the Congress party who advocated reform by working with existing government bodies. Gopal Gokhale died on 19 February 1915 in Mumbai.

7. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Sardar Patel was born on 31 October 1875 in the village of Nadiad in Gujarat state. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was known as an Indian politician. Mr. Sardar Patel served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was an Indian barrister. And he was known as the senior leader of the Indian National Congress.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a leading role in the freedom struggle of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel guided its integration into a united, independent nation. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also called the Iron Man. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel served as Home Minister during India's political unification and the 1947 Indo-Pakistani war. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel died on 15 December 1950 in Mumbai.

8. Lal Bahadur Shastri

Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904 in village Mughalsarai. He was the second Prime Minister of independent India and a notable figure in the freedom struggle. In 1921, to take part in Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperation movement, Lal Bahadur Shastri started studying at the Nationalist and Kashi University in Kashi.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Indian politician to serve as the Prime Minister of India. Lal Bahadur Shastri promoted the White Revolution. Lal Bahadur Shastri launched a national campaign to increase milk production and supply. Mr. Shastri also promoted the Green Revolution in India.. Lal Bahadur Shastri's slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" became very popular during the Indo-Pakistani war. He died on 11 January 1966 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

9. Bhagat Singh

Bhagat Singh was born on 28 September 1907 in the village of Banga in Pakistan. Bhagat Singh was an Indian revolutionary. He was considered the most famous martyr of the Indian freedom struggle. And for that reason Bhagat Singh is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The death sentence in India at the age of 23 and two dramatic acts of violence against the British made him a folk hero.

Bhagat Singh has made a very important contribution to the Indian independence movement. They grew up in an atmosphere of patriotism. Bhagat Singh also founded a secret organization called Bharat Mata Society. Bhagat Singh died on 23 March 1931 in Lahore Central Jail, Lahore, Pakistan.

10. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Gandhiji was born on 2 October 1869 in village Porbandar. He is our national father. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer. Gandhi Bapu was an anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist and non-violently resisted to take the lead. Assuming the leadership of the Indian National Congress in 1921, she also worked for a number of movements to alleviate poverty, expand women's rights, create religious and ethnic information, and end untouchability. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi led a nationwide campaign to achieve self-government. He lived humbly in a self-sufficient residential community. He is also called Bapu. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi died on 30 January 1948 in Delhi.
