Veryovkina Cave, the deepest known cave on Earth, is 2212 m deep. Its entrance is located in Abkhazia, Georgia, 2309 meters above sea level. The entrance shaft's depth is 32 metres. The length of the Veryovkina Cave is 13500 m. The cave was assigned the name S-115 in 1968, which was later replaced by P1-7, and in 1986 it was renamed after Alexander Veryovkin.
